The United States Capital began its leadership in the climb to Net Zero, like Seattle, in 2013. Five Years later in 2018 Mayor Muriel Bowser shared her vision “Five years ago, the District Government released a plan to make the District of Columbia the most sustainable city in the country…today I want to make DC the healthiest, greenest and most livable city for all 700,000 District Residents.
