"Together, we can change how we move, how we build and renovate, and how to capture carbon – taking bold climate action while ensuring an equitable transition for all."

Vancouver

On November 17, 2020 The Vancouver City Council approved the Emergency Action plan, that put Vancouver on a track to reduce carbon pollution by 50% in 2030. Like most Cities supporting the goals of the Paris Climate Accord, Vancouver aims to be net zero far before 2050. Citing analytical data gathered over the last 15 years, Vancouver has identified that carbon burned to heat and cool buildings is 54% of their total greenhouse gas emissions, and vehicles added another 39%.

“This plan means change…it means residents, businesses and the City doing our part to transition off fossil fuels.”
